This artwork by James Pichette achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2011. In the Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries auction, the work Médiévale sold for EUR 3,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by James Pichette; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Peinture - 1951 sold at auction in March 2021 with the realized price of EUR 4,940.00.

In der Auktion Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries wurde die Arbeit Médiévale für EUR 3.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von James Pichette; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Peinture - 1951 im März 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 4.940,00.
