Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Summer Day on the Clyde by James Kay was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,831.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Kay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Highway of the Nations in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 33,915.14).

Die Arbeit Summer Day on the Clyde von James Kay kam im Oktober 2020 bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.831,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Kay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Highway of the Nations im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 33.915,14).
