Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Christies in London held the auction British & Continental Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work One for the retriever: A shot pheasant by James Hardy, Jnr. It changed hands for a price of GBP 375.00 (€ 538.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Hardy, Jnr achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The midday meal on the moors in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 86,250.00 (€ 138,399.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & Continental Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit One for the retriever: A shot pheasant von James Hardy, Jnr zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 375,00 (€ 538,52) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Hardy, Jnr erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The midday meal on the moors im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 86.250,00 (€ 138.399,44).
