Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James Hardy, Jnr could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Sunday Sale: The Collection of the Late Mr Peter Michallat auction, the work Grouse; Black grouse; and Grouse changed hands for GBP 875.00 (€ 981.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Hardy, Jnr achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The midday meal on the moors in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 86,250.00 (€ 138,399.44).
