Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures, which included the work Collecting water by James Hardy, Jnr. The price achieved of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,344.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Hardy, Jnr achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The midday meal on the moors in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 86,250.00 (€ 138,399.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Collecting water von James Hardy, Jnr zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 937,50 (€ 1.344,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Hardy, Jnr erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The midday meal on the moors im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 86.250,00 (€ 138.399,44).
