Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,272.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Gooch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A road through the woods, which sold at auction in March 2008 for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,454.68).
