In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings, which included the work Rocks and heather by James Faed, Jnr.. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,195.00 (€ 1,788.81), 49% above the upper estimate. With this result, Rocks and heather is even the most expensive work of art by James Faed, Jnr. that we have observed at auctions so far.
