Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James Digman Wingfield could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Victorian Pictures auction, the work A gift from the garden changed hands for GBP 998.75 (€ 1,587.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Digman Wingfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Picture Gallery, Stafford House (now Lancaster House), St. James's, 1848 in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 40,630.00 (€ 63,627.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von James Digman Wingfield konnte im September 2002 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Victorian Pictures wechselte die Arbeit A gift from the garden für GBP 998,75 (€ 1.587,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Digman Wingfield erzielen.
