Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work An Italianate landscape with a herdsman and his cattle by Jakob Roos. The price achieved of EUR 5,975.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jakob Roos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Shepherdess With Her Flock Beside A Ruined Arch; A Goatherd With His Flock Beside A Spring. in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 24,809.12).
