Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Domestic fowl with guinea pigs in a wooded landscape, with buildings beyond by Jakob Bogdány was sold in the Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in October 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,652.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jakob Bogdány achieve.
