This artwork by Jakob Bogdány achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2007. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work A Bullfinch, a Chough, a Jay and a Sun Conure with quinces, grapes and melons in a landscape sold for USD 361,000.00 (€ 249,516.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 180,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jakob Bogdány; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot An Assembly Of Birds In A Parkland Landscape, Including A Blue Peacock, A Pair Of Domestic Crested Ducks, A Barbary Coast Duck, A Red Crested Cockatoo, A Yellow-Headed Amazonian Parrot, A Great Curassow, A White Muscovy Duck, An Australian King Parrot, Gu sold at auction in May 2021 with the realized price of USD 580,800.00 (€ 476,299.8
