Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sheep grazing in a landscape by Jacques Raymond Brascassat was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in New York in October 2008. The price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,449.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Raymond Brascassat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Two Bulls Defending A Cow Attacked By Wolves in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 193,000.00 (€ 131,399.78).
