Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life Of A Melon, Peaches, Grapes And Figs In Basket Resting On Ledge by Jacques Linard was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 216,000.00 (€ 166,179.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques Linard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life of shells and coral on a table draped with a green cloth, which sold at auction in December 2021 for GBP 352,800.00 (€ 420,816.40).

Die Arbeit Still Life Of A Melon, Peaches, Grapes And Figs In Basket Resting On Ledge von Jacques Linard kam im Januar 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 216.000,00 (€ 166.179,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacques Linard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life of shells and coral on a table draped with a green cloth beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für GBP 352.800,00 (€ 420.816,40) versteigert wurde.
