Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work A Pointer In A Landscape by Jacques-Laurent Agasse. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 35,167.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques-Laurent Agasse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dash, a setter in a wooded landscape in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 947,097.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Pointer In A Landscape von Jacques-Laurent Agasse zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 35.167,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques-Laurent Agasse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dash, a setter in a wooded landscape im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 825.250,00 (€ 947.097,83).
