Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters, which included the work A dark bay hunter in an extensive landscape, horses and cattle beyond by Jacques-Laurent Agasse. The price achieved of USD 199,500.00 (€ 183,111.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques-Laurent Agasse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dash, a setter in a wooded landscape in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 947,097.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit A dark bay hunter in an extensive landscape, horses and cattle beyond von Jacques-Laurent Agasse zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 199.500,00 (€ 183.111,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacques-Laurent Agasse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dash, a setter in a wooded landscape im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 825.250,00 (€ 947.097,83).
