Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Jacques-Joseph de Gault was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2009. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,599.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques-Joseph de Gault have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cadmus and Hermione in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,154.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Jacques-Joseph de Gault kam im November 2009 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.599,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacques-Joseph de Gault auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cadmus and Hermione im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.154,37).
