Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 4,940.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Edme Dumont achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ensemble De Cent Une Esquisses in April 2013 with an auction result of EUR 212,458.00.

Die Arbeit Nu Féminin Assis Sur Un Rocher von Jacques Edme Dumont kam im November 2014 bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.940,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Edme Dumont erzielen.
