Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work La Confirmation by Jacques Dumont for EUR 7,500.00. This price was achieved in the auction Tableaux et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle at Sothebys in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jacques Dumont have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Education Of Cupid in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 92,500.00 (€ 68,094.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit La Confirmation von Jacques Dumont für EUR 7.500,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Tableaux et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacques Dumont auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Education Of Cupid im Januar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 92.500,00 (€ 68.094,82).
