In June this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Alain Delon 60 Years of Passion, which included the work Scène de bataille by Jacques Callot. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 20,480.00 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Callot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fair At Gondreville, Or Mayday Celebrations At Xeuilley in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 288,000.00 (€ 427,746.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Alain Delon 60 Years of Passion durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scène de bataille von Jacques Callot zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 20.480,00 und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Callot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fair At Gondreville, Or Mayday Celebrations At Xeuilley im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 288.000,00 (€ 427.746,48).
