Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings Sale, which included the work Nymphs Dancing And Playing Music In A Southern Landscape by Jacques-Antoine Vallin. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,561.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques-Antoine Vallin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Love Guiding Two Lovers To The Temple Of Hymen in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 102,000.00 (€ 78,473.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nymphs Dancing And Playing Music In A Southern Landscape von Jacques-Antoine Vallin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.561,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacques-Antoine Vallin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Love Guiding Two Lovers To The Temple Of Hymen im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 102.000,00 (€ 78.473,61).
