Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century European Art, which included the work Antiochus And Stratonice by Jacques-Antoine Vallin. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,885.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques-Antoine Vallin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love Guiding Two Lovers To The Temple Of Hymen in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 102,000.00 (€ 78,473.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Antiochus And Stratonice von Jacques-Antoine Vallin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 6.885,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques-Antoine Vallin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love Guiding Two Lovers To The Temple Of Hymen im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 102.000,00 (€ 78.473,61).
