In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work An Italianate River Landscape At Sunset With Shepherdesses Resting In The Foreground sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,503.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques-Antoine Vallin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Love Guiding Two Lovers To The Temple Of Hymen in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 102,000.00 (€ 78,473.61).
