A top price for Jacques-Albert Senave - as previously expected
In October 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings, which included the work An Interior With A Mother Knitting, Watched By Her Children And A Maid; A Barn Interior With A Mother Feeding Her Baby by Jacques-Albert Senave. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,044.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, An Interior With A Mother Knitting, Watched By Her Children And A Maid; A Barn Interior With A Mother Feeding Her Baby is the most expensive artwork by Jacques-Albert Senave that we have observed at auctions so far.
