Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Recto: Study For A Ceiling Decoration Verso: Separate Study For One Of The Figures On The Recto by Jacopo Guarana was sold in the Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,220.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacopo Guarana - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Triumph der Tugend, which sold at auction in November 2020 for EUR 12,500.00.

Die Arbeit Recto: Study For A Ceiling Decoration Verso: Separate Study For One Of The Figures On The Recto von Jacopo Guarana wurde im Januar 2013 in der Auktion Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.220,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacopo Guarana mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Triumph der Tugend beobachtet, die im November 2020 für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert wurde.
