Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Madonna and Child with Angels by Jacopo di Cione. The price achieved of GBP 248,750.00 (€ 278,903.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacopo di Cione - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Madonna And Child Enthroned With Saints Anthony Abbot, Mary Magdalene, Catherine Of Alexandria, And A Bishop Saint, With Eight Angels, which sold at auction in January 2015 for USD 965,000.00 (€ 854,738.71).

Im Juli 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madonna and Child with Angels von Jacopo di Cione zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 248.750,00 (€ 278.903,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacopo di Cione mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Madonna And Child Enthroned With Saints Anthony Abbot, Mary Magdalene, Catherine Of Alexandria, And A Bishop Saint, With Eight Angels beobachtet, die im Januar 2015 für USD 965.000,00 (€ 854.738,71) versteigert wurde.
