Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work The Blessing Christ by Jacopo da Valenza. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 88,200.00 (€ 72,330.65). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacopo da Valenza - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Young Man, Bust Length, In A Red Cap, which sold at auction in January 2015 for USD 269,000.00 (€ 238,263.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Blessing Christ von Jacopo da Valenza zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 88.200,00 (€ 72.330,65) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacopo da Valenza mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Man, Bust Length, In A Red Cap beobachtet, die im Januar 2015 für USD 269.000,00 (€ 238.263,95) versteigert wurde.
