Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art, which included the work A riverside town under moonlight; and Fishing at dawn by Jacobus Theodorus Abels. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,025.29), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacobus Theodorus Abels achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Das Einholen der Netze bei Mondlicht. in March 2019 with an auction result of CHF 32,900.00 (€ 29,413.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A riverside town under moonlight; and Fishing at dawn von Jacobus Theodorus Abels zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.025,29) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacobus Theodorus Abels erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Das Einholen der Netze bei Mondlicht. im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 32.900,00 (€ 29.413,09).
