However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Claesz. van Utrecht - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A triptych: central panel: The Annunciation; wings: Portrait of Herman Plönnies, Ratsherr of Lübeck, with Saint Matthew; and Portrait of his wife, Ida Greverade, with Saint Catherine of Alexandria; outer faces: Saint Christopher carrying the Christ, which sold at auction in July 2011 for GBP 769,250.00 (€ 88
