Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Joseph van Dieghem could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction, the work Sheep and lambs in a pastoral landscape; and Another similar changed hands for GBP 940.00 (€ 1,439.72) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Joseph van Dieghem have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2005 by the work Sheep with her lambs at EUR 2,640.00.
