Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by J. Hall could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures and Watercolours auction, the work H.M.S. Sultan steaming along changed hands for GBP 180.00 (€ 263.83) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 250.00 – 350.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by J. Hall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Royal Thames Yacht Club's schooner Norseman off a fortified headland in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,862.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von J. Hall konnte im Januar 2006 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Watercolours wechselte die Arbeit H.M.S. Sultan steaming along für GBP 180,00 (€ 263,83) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 250,00 – 350,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von J. Hall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Royal Thames Yacht Club's schooner Norseman off a fortified headland im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.862,10).
