This artwork by JCJ Vanderheyden achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in December 2009. In the 19th Century European Paintings and Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for EUR 11,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by JCJ Vanderheyden - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poort - Gate, which sold at auction in June 2010 for EUR 32,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von JCJ Vanderheyden erzielte im Dezember 2009 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings and Modern & Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 11.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von JCJ Vanderheyden mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poort - Gate beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für EUR 32.200,00 versteigert wurde.
