This work without title by Izumi Kato was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 3,906,000.00 (€ 458,349.83), 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Izumi Kato - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 1,560,000.00 (€ 1,593,065.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Izumi Kato wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 3.906.000,00 (€ 458.349,83) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Izumi Kato mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 1.560.000,00 (€ 1.593.065,22) versteigert wurde.
