A top price for Ivan Simakov - as previously expected
The work Unloading The Barge (Forced Labour) by Ivan Simakov was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2017. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,117.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Unloading The Barge (Forced Labour) is the most expensive artwork by Ivan Simakov that we have observed at auctions so far.
