Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
When the work Paysage au jaune de Naples by Ivan Theimer was auctioned at Il Ponte in July 2020, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 800.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at EUR 4,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ivan Theimer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hercule aux serpents sold at auction in June this year with the realized price of EUR 4,480.00.
Kunstwerk zum Fünffachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Paysage au jaune de Naples von Ivan Theimer im Juli 2020 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 800,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 4.000,00 mehr als fünfmal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ivan Theimer; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Hercule aux serpents im Juni diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 4.480,00.
