A top price for Ivan Shagin - as previously expected
In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures Including Works on Paper by Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov, which included the work Dneiper, Foundry And Magnitka by Ivan Shagin. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,376.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Dneiper, Foundry And Magnitka is the most expensive artwork by Ivan Shagin that we have observed at auctions so far.
