Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ivan Petrovich Pryanishnikov could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Russian Pictures auction, the work View of Camargue, France changed hands for GBP 14,900.00 (€ 20,863.85) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Ivan Petrovich Pryanishnikov have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2008 by the work His Majesty's Life-Guard Cossack Regiment on manoeuvres at GBP 27,500.00 (€ 33,249.57).
