Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Soul (also known as Incomplete Space) by Iván Capote for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,403.21). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Iván Capote - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hide: La sombra es una luz que se esconde, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,640.10).

Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Soul (also known as Incomplete Space) von Iván Capote für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.403,21) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Art Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Iván Capote mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hide: La sombra es una luz que se esconde beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.640,10) versteigert wurde.
