A top price for Italo Nunes-Vais - as previously expected
In April 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art, which included the work The street of the shoemakers, Tunis; and The square of the French hospital, Tunis by Italo Nunes-Vais. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,815.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The street of the shoemakers, Tunis; and The square of the French hospital, Tunis is the most expensive artwork by Italo Nunes-Vais that we have observed at auctions so far.
