A top price for Isidoro Bianchi - as previously expected
In July 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction The Barbara Piasecka Johnson Collection: Renaissance & Baroque Masterworks., which included the work An Allegory Of Love And Wisdom by Isidoro Bianchi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 44,450.00 (€ 50,437.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, An Allegory Of Love And Wisdom is the most expensive artwork by Isidoro Bianchi that we have observed at auctions so far.
