In July 2010 Christies in Paris held the auction Collection de Madame Darthea Speyer, une Américaine à Paris (Vente Sans Prix de Réserve), which included the work Palmier by Irmgard Sigg. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 875.00 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Irmgard Sigg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La tour in July 2010 with an auction result of EUR 5,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Collection de Madame Darthea Speyer, une Américaine à Paris (Vente Sans Prix de Réserve) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Palmier von Irmgard Sigg zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 875,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Irmgard Sigg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La tour im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.000,00.
