In the Old Master Drawings auction, the work An Ornamental Design For A Doorway With A Putto Playing A Triangle changed hands for USD 3,438.00 (€ 2,633.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ippolito Andreasi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Studies For Two Lunettes With Central Female Allegorical Figures, One With A Mandolin Player, The Other With A Violin Player Surrounded By Other Female Musicians, which sold at auction in January 2009 for USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,274.45).
