Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Madonna And Child Enthroned, With Saint Paul, Saint Francis Of Assisi, Saint Joseph And Mary Magdalen by Innocenzo Francucci was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,938.19). Admittedly, works by Innocenzo Francucci have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Mystic Marriage of Saint Catherine with the Infant Saint John the Baptist and Saint Jerome in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 22,705.00 (€ 32,678.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Madonna And Child Enthroned, With Saint Paul, Saint Francis Of Assisi, Saint Joseph And Mary Magdalen von Innocenzo Francucci im Mai 2020 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 6.938,19) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Innocenzo Francucci auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Mystic Marriage of Saint Catherine with the Infant Saint John the Baptist and Saint Jerome im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.705,00 (€ 32.678,74).
