In November 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The Sculpture Sale, which included the work Maiden On A Bench by Ildebrando Bastiani. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,640.00 65% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ildebrando Bastiani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nereid in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 123,263.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 65 % übertroffen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The Sculpture Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Maiden On A Bench von Ildebrando Bastiani zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.640,00 und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ildebrando Bastiani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nereid im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 123.263,11).
