Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online sale, which included the work Napoleon by Ikechukwu Ezeigwe. The price achieved of GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,423.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Ikechukwu Ezeigwe have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2021 the work The American Gothic was auctioned for GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,906.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Napoleon von Ikechukwu Ezeigwe zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.423,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Ikechukwu Ezeigwe konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2021 die Arbeit The American Gothic für GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.906,61) versteigert.
