This price was achieved in the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Igor Kopystiansky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Interior #5, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 31,200.00 (€ 44,805.25).
