This artwork by Igor Kopystiansky achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in October 2007. In the The John L. Stewart Collection of Russian Contemporary Art auction, the work Interior #5 sold for GBP 31,200.00 (€ 44,805.25) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. This high result makes Interior #5 the most expensive artwork by Igor Kopystiansky that we have observed at auctions so far.
