Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Waves by Hussein Bicar was sold in the Middle Eastern Art Online Sale including works from the Saatchi Collection auction at Bonhams in London in August 2021. The price achieved of GBP 10,837.50 (€ 12,625.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hussein Bicar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Harvest I in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 247,500.00 (€ 225,779.97).
