Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale, which included the work The Wedding Procession by Hussein Bicar. The price achieved of GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,767.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hussein Bicar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Harvest I in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 247,500.00 (€ 225,779.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Wedding Procession von Hussein Bicar zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.767,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hussein Bicar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Harvest I im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 247.500,00 (€ 225.779,97).
