Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Misr Al-Salaam (‘Egypt-Peace’) by Hussein Bicar was sold in the Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in October 2017. The price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,906.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hussein Bicar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harvest I in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 247,500.00 (€ 225,779.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Misr Al-Salaam (‘Egypt-Peace’) von Hussein Bicar wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.906,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hussein Bicar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Harvest I im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 247.500,00 (€ 225.779,97).
