Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2013 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work Gondolas Moored At A Quay Before Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice by Hugo Golli. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,689.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugo Golli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gondoliers on a Venetian backwater, which sold at auction in October 2011 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,497.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gondolas Moored At A Quay Before Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice von Hugo Golli zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.689,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Hugo Golli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gondoliers on a Venetian backwater beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.497,22) versteigert wurde.
